Hello!
I am Can, Istanbul based professional sound engineer and sound designer currently living on Ankara / Turkey.
I started to work as an assistant engineer in my schools recording studio (2017) when I was having my Master of Arts, Sound Engineering education on Istanbul Technical University(MIAM), after that I had opportunity to experience different fields of work as a sound engineer & designer.
I am experienced on sound design,recording (studio, live, field), audio editing, music production (mixing) and live sound.
I am deeply passionate about video games and thats why I love creating audio experience for those infinite worlds and stories. Currently I am open for commissions. Thanks!
SOUND DESIGN
Cinematics in FF XVI are amazing and it has amazing sound design world. I choose this cinematic because it has lot of elements to work on and it place on above the ocean which is pretty cool setting to work on. I started by creating soundscape of the scene, when every camera shot change the soundscape changes with it to capture the right feeling.There are 2 unique characters and their spells, abilities to cover. Lots of impacts and elemental sounds to work for. Everything feels big in this cinematic I tried to capture it with the sounds.
Dead space was always one of my favorite games and it has amazing sound world which amazes me every time. I tried to re design one of the coolest weapons in the game Force Gun! which has 2 shot types and cool reload animation. There is charge shot which stays a bit in the world like a black hole and classic shot which feels like air force push. I used phase plant to create gun shots and some mechanic part samples for reload and mixed those with convolution reverb to capture the space.
Unreal Engine / FMOD implementation demonstration. Draft gameplay footage from canceled project Afarid. This was the 3rd biome of the game, goal of the scene was to create immersive soundscape. I tried to achive it by placing 3d emitters beside 2d sound beds and tried to capture correct sounds for moving objects. It was one of my early works and i still love it.
Opening cinematic sound design for Project TOW. This sound design played on a black screen when game started, it was challenging to narrate the scene and create correct feelings without visual support. I always close my eyes when i listen it and it stills gives me same feeling which was i tried to capture.
